The Larimer Alliance for Health, Safety & the Environment is a coalition of Northern Colorado citizens and groups committed to protecting Larimer County from harm from fossil fuels. We aim to educate the public and ensure that local and state governments develop and implement policies that prioritize the protection of public health and safety, environmental quality, wildlife resources, and the integrity of public lands, in accordance with Colorado law.

Our History

Past: The Short

The Larimer Alliance was born out of 350 NoCo in the summer of 2019 for the purpose of seeing the proper implementation of the SB-181 in Larimer County.

Present: Our Current Goal

Our current focus is on getting a real-time, continuous air quality monitoring system, such as exists in Boulder, Longmont, Erie, and Broomfield. We must find out what is in our air, what pollutants are coming from Weld County, and how we can better protect all of our citizens from the dangers of oil and gas development.

Future: Colorado and Larimer County

We imagine a safer and healthier Larimer County and Colorado, free from the threat of dangerous oil and gas development which endangers our gorgeous home and our health.
